Google Street map goes cruising

Whether we like it or not technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways. It’s the industry that changes the fastest, with changes that at times are a struggle to keep up with. One of my favourite innovations is Google street view, with which you can visit new places, walk around streets or even just virtually stand outside the new house of your friends, all this just with a click of a mouse. This technology has now arrived on cruises.

Leading the way we have Royal Caribbean International, the first cruise line to launch Google Maps Business View using Google’s Street View technology on board the world’s largest and innovative cruise ship Allure of the Seas.

Most of you know Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 21 innovative ships. One of the most innovative ships at sea is the Allure of the Seas on which we can watch and take virtual tours online via Google Search results, Google Maps and Google+ depending on whether you’re using computers, smartphones or tablets

With just a few clicks, guests will be able to virtually walk through the various decks of Allure of the Seas. This is the beginning of a new exciting revolution which is going to change the way we search and choose holidays online.
