Love cruising, love cycling……….

BIKEIf you’re looking for something new when it comes to cruising and you love keeping fit at the same time APT have the perfect solution for you.

For 2017 APT are launchng two new cycling cruises giving passengers the opportunity to really explore their port destinations by being escorted by an experienced cycling guide.

I think this type of River cruise is an excellent idea and will really catch on. River cruising alone has grown immensely over the past few years giving passengers the opportunity to try something new when they have exhausted all itineraries out of Southampton and the med short haul routes.

This will also be a great way to bring a younger traveler to River cruising. If you think about it the options for themed River cruises are endless, With approximately up to 200 passengers on a River boat you could easily accommodate a good number of passengers all with the same hobbies who also love to travel.

I’m thinking cooking, Art, Music, dance, the list is endless.

We have chartered Riverboats before and actually held an exclusive Garden cruise with Alan Titchmarsh on board which our regular Garden cruisers loved, and still say was one of their best cruises to date.

The first of APT’s new Cycling Series is a 15-day cruise departing from Amsterdam and finishing in Budapest. Guests will cycle and sail along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers to gain a new perspective on Europe’s heartland.

Highlights of the 7 cycling excursions include the chance to cycle around Cologne and Vienna, wheeling their way to the world-famous Erbach Monastery, sampling the traditional smoked beer on a bike tour of Bamberg, and following a trail to Fortress Marienburg in Würzburg.

I’d definitely be up for sampling one of these options, what do you think, are you joining me……………
