Queen Mary 2 Get’s a new refit

First impression of the Queen Mary 2 after her refit, doesn’t she look lovely all fresh and like new again.

Last week Queen Mary 2 left Hamburg following a 25 day dry dock refurbishment, she had more than just a lick of paint and new carpets, Vast chucks of the 2,600 passenger ship framework had been stripped out as contractors worked day and night at the bloham voss shipyard transforming Queen Mary 2 interior and repainting the exterior.

Among the ship updates they have now added single cabins 30 Britannia club balcony cabins have been added, the Grill restaurants have been transformed, kings court buffet has been completely redesigned, the todd English restaurant has been replaced with the veranda and the winter garden with Carinthia lounge.

Cunard have spent £90million on this refit have now changed things to the new times and listened to what customer’s had to say, they have now made her a ultra-modern style while the at deco-era have been retained.

Speciality dining

The ships new French restaurant replacing the Todd English is a throwback to the original veranda restaurant on-board Queen Mary, The restaurant décor is elegant with fun circus-themed artwork completed by the muted colour palette and subtle burst of black in the carpet just like the original.

But what I’ve heard is the décor might be stylish but the real star is the food, now I’ve been on the Queen Mary 2 and I loved her but I didn’t feel like the service had really dropped, many customer had always raved about the service Cunard ships but I found her bad compared to other cruise lines, I just hope that after all this money that they have spent that there has really been some changes on the service of the food as I’ve had many customer’s that go a lot with Cunard have said the same about the service on board there ships.
