Christmas Do

I went to my partner’s Christmas do on Saturday to Rotherham Football club. we’d had it here the year before and it was  fantastic food and a brilliant night. So I was really looking forward to this year having it at the same place plus I had met most people last year so wasn’t as nerve racking this year round.

It should have started at 7:30pm so we got there nice and early, still at 7:55pm we was still waiting downstairs to go to our venue room not good when its freezing outside and people are pushing you to try and get in. Then when we finally got in our room we had another long wait waiting for or food this didn’t come till about 9:30pm, how they did the tables was ridiculous it was like sardines in a can you couldn’t eat your food because the people either side of you was that close you might as well have been sat on there knee. The food was shocking £7,000 my partners company had paid for this evening and it didn’t deserve £7.00.

Now I know Christmas is a very busy time but are company’s just that eager for money that they will try and put as many people as they can in one room just to make more money.

Do we feel that standards in any instances from big hotels or  cruise ships  are getting worse. Are companies reducing the prices that much or keeping the prices the same but the standards just aren’t there anymore.

Tell me your thoughts on this do you feel on cruise ships that you get the same standard of food and personal service as you did years ago or are the cost going up and the service is going down I’ve been having mixed reviews from customer’s some saying that on some cruise lines the cabins are dirty they’ve had dirty bedding, dirty mattress and the service was shocking but then I’ve other customer’s saying that the service and food they have received has been brilliant. I would really like to here your thoughts on this.
