Wow! Where has the time gone?
This year we have celebrated in style! My daughter Ella turns 4 today and what an amazing little girl she is!
She puts me to shame anyway! I just think of her if I am moaning about anything. Her little smile lights up the room!
Weighing only 2lb 2 when she was born, she has overcome all sorts of issues in her short time. Her latest issue is with her eyes. She has a cataract in each eye, 1 pretty much affecting her whole vision. The other is just small. She has an operation soon to fix the 1st eye so keep Ella in your prayers.
She certainly doesn’t let it bother her! She is the happiest child you could ever hope for.
We have been celebrating this weekend with a trip to sunny Southport in Lancashire on the Saturday and then a party on Sunday.
Southport was a 2 hour trip on the train and we enjoyed making sandcastles on the beach, a ride on the carousel and a trip on the train along the pier.
We finished the day with fish and chips at a lovely restaurant call the Swan! Had great reviews on-line and they certainly were correct! The food was excellent and service better than you would expect!
I was really stuffed after my fish and chips but not too much for an ice cream before we headed home!
The party on Sunday was great! I kept it simple, sandwiches, crisps and cup-cakes for the children and pork and stuffing butties for the adults (beer and wine too!) I was exhausted after all the party games and finally enjoyed a little drink and chat with the mum’s and dads.
The celebrations continue tomorrow with my aunties as we meet in Manchester for a late lunch
Have you got a special birthday coming up?
How will you celebrate?
