Anthem of the Seas

I have been tempted since the sales launch of the new Royal Caribbean ship Anthems of the Seas but like many have been put off by the price. I wasn’t sure if I would want to pay the extra that it would cost for me to take a family of four.

But I have to say the more I look at this amazing ship the more I want to go.

Every new ship has its attractions, partly because it is brand new and also because of the special features on offer but I think you would be hard pushed to find anything more exciting for a family holiday than a cruise on Anthem.

There will be industry firsts such as the Seaplex which transforms in the evening to a roller disco with a floating DJ and food truck and even has dodgem cars – fantastic my kids would love this.

For adults there is a rip cord for anyone wanting to experience the thrills of a sky dive and for all the family there is the North Star which is a capsule that will lift you high above the ship and out over the water giving you 360 degree views of the surrounding area.

The part I love the most is Two 70. This is a bar/lounge where you can enjoy 270 degree views of the ocean by day but is transformed in the evening using high tech digital projection and performing arts.

There will also be virtual concerts which will project high resolution footage across 6 roboscreens to create a musical experience as impressive as the real thing.

They are yet to announce which broadway show they will be featuring but with shows such as Mamma Mia, Chicago and Hairspray featured on their other ships it is sure to be a big stage production.

There is also a more flexible dining option available which is perfect for family holidays as I for one do not like being on a timetable on holiday.

If this isn’t enough to tempt you there will of course be all of the usual features we have come to expect on a Royal Caribbean cruise so I think this would be a holiday of a lifetime.

For pricing and availability give me a call and I will find the best possible deal for you
