Not Butlins at Sea… Real Butlins on Land

Last weekend we had our annual Cruise.co.uk conference. On most previous years we have held this on a cruise ship but this year, for one reason or another that wasn’t possible so it was instead held at Skegness Butlins.

I had never been to Butlins before and I have to say that when I first heard this announcement I did have visions of it being quite old fashioned and down-market.

I have to say that I was wrong about that and surprised as when we arrived it became apparent that there must have been a fairly recent large scale refurbishment project.

I thought that the accommodation we stayed in (Seaside apartment) was very nice, clean and modern.

The staff there were very friendly, helpful and made an effort to make sure we were kept happy.

As with most of our Christmas conferences we use also like to have a good party, normally involving a fancy dress night. This year was 60’s theme, there were some amazing costumes. We had an amazing time, so much fun!

Here are a few pics of me in my outfit.

I can’t beleive it is only 10 days till Christmas now. I would love to say that I have everything organised but far from it so must get to it.

I probably won’t be doing another blog until the New Year so I would like to thank all of the people who booked cruises with me this year, especially so many of my returning clients who come back to book with me time and time again, you are appreciated.

I hope everyone has a lovely time over the Christmas season and a great New Year!
