Back to Italy

Tomorrow morning, I will be on a plane to Genoa. I last flew there only a couple of weeks ago to meet a group of clients from a cruise and transfer them to Lake Garda and Venice. This time, I will be the client and I will be spending a night in Genoa before embarking on MSC Musica for a cruise around Italy. We will be calling in at Naples, Kotor in Montenegro and Corfu before ending our trip with a couple of nights in Venice.

This will be my fourth visit to Venice but my husband’s first so it will be lovely to see it together. It will also be our first visit to Kotor and as I have only ever heard good things about this port, I am really looking forward to seeing it myself.

I have sailed several times with MSC and really like their beautiful ships and the relaxed atmosphere on board. I am also looking forward to lots of delicious Italian food and wine.

I am very fortunate in my line of work as I get to experience many different cruise lines and ships. This will be my 7th cruise this year and I still have the cruise.co.uk Christmas conference on Fred Olsen’s Boudicca in December. Just 4 days ago I was disembarking from a 4 night stay on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas which I will have to blog about at a future date.

The one disadvantage of so much travelling is packing which I have still not done. I should by now have this down to a fine art but it still seems to take way too long. How many clothes can I possibly need for just a week? MSC have just introduced a rule banning hair straighteners on board and when your hair is as long and as thick as mine, this could be problematic! Maybe I won’t let anyone see any holiday photos after all!!

If you need me for the next fortnight, please call the main group line 0333 300 2602 where my colleagues will be happy to help.
