My Ship visit in Hull.

In Hull I hear you say, well yes, but it was quite different from my last ship visit and a first for me. Cruise and Maritime Voyages kindly invited myself and three colleagues to attend a ship tour and a very enjoyable lunch. ms azores
Cruise and Maritime pride themselves in offering Traditional British Cruising. They were launched in 2009 and now have four ships with convenient UK port departures, including Bristol, Edinburgh, Tilbury, Hull, Newcastle and new for this year Dundee. The ships are small to medium holding from 550 passengers on the Azores which is the ship we were on to the Astor at 600, Marco Polo 800 and the newest to to the fleet the Magellan holds 1250. With the hype of the mega ships these little ladies will give some clients a welcome relief as not everyone wants huge. The main attraction of this size is that they can get into smaller ports giving a varied choice of destinations to visit directly from the UK.

The target market is the 60 plus and the Magellan, Marco Polo and Azores are child free ships so over 16’s only. People who want to travel from smaller local ports to places such as The Fjords, St. Petersburg, Tallin and other famous cities. Although these ships are smaller they still offer west end style shows speciality acts and cabaret performances.

Although our time was short we found the service very attentive with plenty of choice on the menu. We ate in the formal dining room but the buffet also looked very good too. They have just introduced a drinks package at an amazing £17 per person per day, excellent value. Although the ships are older it was very clean and tidy and the public areas very modern and bright.azorsazorsazores shops

We at Cruise.Co.Uk are working very closely with Cruise and Maritime Voyages and have some amazing last minute deals available. So if you think that some of the larger ships are more lie floating resorts then you may like this refreshing alternative. We did.usazores lumch
