Birthday Celebrations oh yes a cruise.

That time of year again when we ladies take our annual cruise. As it falls in September I always claim as my Birthday celebration. But as not even a milestone year I am just looking for an excuse. But to be honest do I need one? No.

We will be boarding the MSC Splendida in Wednesday 28th for a 7 night Northern Europe. As you know I have sailed with other MSC ships but this is the first time on Splendida. Feedback as been fantastic so once again we have booked 2 connecting B2 Balcony cabins with the drinks package and are really looking forward to our adventure. This time it is more about the ship than the ports of call. We want to be looked after in swish surroundings and just chill and enjoy the food and entertainment. I do hope my report on my return does not let you down.

Splendida will have some living up to do in the food area as the past couple of weeks I have eaten out so much at so many different places.
Best so far was my Birthday meal at Stuzzi
Stuzzi is a trendy Italian Bistro serving the most amazing small plate style Italian Tapas or sharing platters. It is in a lovely part of Harrogate over the road from the International/Conference Centre very central to town. None of us had eaten here before so we just asked our waiter to recommend and bring a selection. Wow it was AMAZING. The place itself had a buzzing feel about it and was authentically decorated with rustic furnishing and the wine racks along the walls, well lost for words.
When it came to deserts the selection was endless and was on show for all to see. We did not have room for this but it would be rude to say no.

So Splendida this is the standard of food I am looking for next week. Will keep you posted.
