Academy At Sea – Caribbean Princess

I hope you remember I recently told you about the Princess Cruise Line Training Academy I had been invited to attend. Well last weekend it took place starting from a beautiful little Scottish Town of South Queens Ferry. I have passed over the Forth Road Bridge many times but have never been down into the village itself. I was so impressed with the abundance of shops bars and pretty little places to eat. I will certainly be retuning and would consider this as a base from which to Explore Edinburgh.queensferry
On arrival we were welcomed by the amazing Princess Team who made us all feel very relaxed and were tendered across to the Caribbean Princess a Grand class of ship 113,561 tonnes and a 3080 guest capacity. My colleague Marie and I were allocated a BE grade of cabin on Caribe deck 10 which we already knew had the larger balconies. The cabin was bright clean and spacious with plenty of storage and very comfy beds.our cabin
After a quick refresh and a light lunch (light if you believe that you will believe anything, we are on Princess) we joined the rest of the group which was a mix of high street and on line agents made up of 8 Cruise.Co.UK staff. We were then given a fully comprehensive ship tour including cabins, kids clubs, bars and entertainment venues and our favorite the adult only Sanctuary Spa. This was so luxurious and relaxing and well worth the small daily fee (treatments also extra)scantury
That night we eat in the main dining room but this subject needs a whole blog to itself which I will do next time. We had hosted cocktail parties, Captains cocktail party and the traditional formal evening when we dined in Sabatini’s Princess’s speciality Italian, could it get any better. YES the Crown Grill on our last night. Fillet Mignon and lobster to name just two of the mouth watering menucp formal.
Our 2nd day was the most interesting for me with a behind the scenes tour and a visit to the Bridge. I was fascinated to see just how everything runs like clockwork yet again so much to say about this but I can assure you you will never not want to pay your tips ever again.

I would like to thank the ladies of Princess for this amazing opportunity and for all their hard work with putting this together. The questions and answers sessions I found really helpful and cannot wait to experience Princess for my own Personal holiday.

Next time Princess Food wow. Cheers all from the Cruise.Co.UK trained Princess Team bar selfie
