When do you book a cruise?

‘So what’s the best price you can do for me?’ Is the most used phrase I hear clients ask me.  Now this depends on when you book your cruise.

If you are a family or work in the teaching profession then book early to avoid disappointment as the sailings go very quickly.  For next year Ventutra 1st April 2012 14 nights in the Easter break is a very popular sailing.  Remember there are only a certain amount of 3 and 4 berth cabins available on all ships.

Independence of the Seas 28th July 2012 is another popular sailing as Independence is fastly becoming the family’s favourite ship for the summen holidays.

To get the best cabin and availability for Caribbean 2012 sailings book early too.  Remember unless you are a strong swimmer, you have to fly to Barbados to pick up P&O’s Ventura.  You will use charter flights and if the flights have sold from the closest airport to where you live, you will have to look further-a-field.

For Panama Canal sailings there are only a few companies who provide this so as above you will need to book early to avoid disappointment of no flight availability.

Now if you are lucky in the fact that you can cruise at anytime and have the time off work or are retired then you can afford last minuite cruises.  There are some great deal to be had.  For instance balcony cabins on Cunards Queen Victoria 10th May 2011 are currently £899 per person, thats £75 per person per night which is not bad on such a prestigious line as Cunard.

However remember if you want specific cabins call me to check they are available.  If you are not bothered which cabin you want then go for a guarantee.  This allows the cruiseline to choose your cabin for you.

So as you can see ‘when’s best to book?’ can be all year round.
