She really is Splendour of the Seas now!!

Royal Caribbean have just completed a major overhaul of Splendour of the Seas.  Now I went on her in August of 2010 and she did look a bit shabby around the edges but she was well maintaind all the same.

Royal Caribbean have invested over $300 million to rejuvinate their fleet and Splendour seems to have some brand new things!

124 new balcony cabins
A Diamond Lounge for Crown and Anchor members
An IPad in every stateroom
New dining venues such as Chop Grill and The Chef’s Table dining experience.

Now when I was on board, the Chops Grill was available however you ordered from a different menu and it was delivered to you normal table in the dining room.  Now they have a seperate venue and the steaks are to die for.  If you are carniverous like me then the fillet minion is the one to go for.  There is a cover charge for this experience ranging from $20-30 per person depending on the ship and date.

If you are a technophobe and are not sure about the IPad then ask your stateroom assistant who would have been trained on how to use it.  It will give you information about whats going on on the ship and you will even be able to view your bar bill so you can keep track of your spending.
