Do I smuggle booze on board??
This is a question I have been asked a few times. My answer is always it is upto you. You might get stopped by the security once you embark the ship. The security will put your booze in a locker and deliver it to your stateroom on the last night of the cruise.
Some people ask me what if I take a bottle on the ship on when I embark at the start of the cruise? My answer is your bags will be scanned anyway for security checks. It will be upto the cruise line whether they decide to take the booze out.
It has been known that passengers will use the likes of hot water bottles to put alcohol in !! Most cruise lines offer drinks packages however today I looked for a client and on Celebrity a bottle of Absolute vodka to be purchased for your room is £46!!! How big is the bottle!!!!!
I really think cruise lines should reduce the cost of the drinks prices on board. It will stop people like me trying to think of any other ingenious ways to smuggle alcohol onto a cruise line.
