Miracles Do Happen !

Oh wow, it has been a total whirlwind since Thursday 28th February.

At 2 pm when I finished work, I took Rocky my dog out for a walk. We always go to Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley Manchester. It was about 3 pm that afternoon and I had let him off his leash for a runaround, we were walking near the back of the park not far from the woods. He was playing in front of me and within a blink of an eye, I saw him chase after something and then he just literally disappeared. I ran around the park where we were for about 2 hours shouting him with no response at all, was searching high and low for him, just no sign of him anywhere.

I called my neighbour, who came to the park with me to look for him, Rocky was nowhere to be seen, I was absolutely frantic by this time, how could he just vanish.

We came home and I spoke to one of my bosses, I was so upset and frantic I just did not know what to do, Michelle calmed me down and talked me through who to get in touch with and what steps to take.

That night I went back to the park at about 9.30pm just shouting his name and still no joy, I was heartbroken.

I put a note on social media (Facebook) about losing Rocky and within minutes everyone was out helping to see if they could see him in the park. I added Rocky to Lost Dogs and they were fantastic, they put in me in touch with  Harvey’s Army/Friends of Animals in Bury and Drone Sar.

The next few days I was in overdrive, my neighbour had printed over 2000 posters for us to put up in the surrounding areas. I was knocking on peoples doors, adding his posters to every single car I had seen, posters all over the park you name it I did it, I was not giving up. My phone never stopped with people contacting me that wanted to help in the search for Rocky.

On Saturday I arranged a meeting with Geoff from Drone Sar in the clough where I lost Rocky and he spent an hour but winds were high and no joy.

To be continued!
