Don’t Get Me Started on 5p Carrier Bags

We have all taken traditional free carrier bags in shops and supermarkets for granted and we will all miss them now we have to pay for them

I hear from guests how certain touches are no longer included on board such as free shuttle buses in ports from the ship to town, chocolates on your pillow at night, cotton buds in the bathroom and lower quality toilet paper but could you imagine if long standing cruising traditions are suddenly not included and additional charges are added …..

Would you pay for the porters to take care of your luggage on and off the ship?

Would you consider it acceptable to pay for the tender to take you ashore for a tender port?

How much would you consider to pay to go to see the 5* West End style shows every evening? Shows-on-MSC

Would you be prepared to pay for your child to go to the children’s clubs every day? how much would you expect to pay for fully trained child care?

What if there was a charge to use the swimming pool? or to use the Water Slides?  And god forbid you had to pay for your sun loungers…???

How about bathroom items such as shampoo and shower gel were charged by the bottle?

Would you consider paying an entry fee for the Captains Cocktail Party?

What if a per item laundry charge was introduced per bathroom towel?

Would you consider paying to use the gym, what about the library or cinema to see the latest films?

Of course this is ridiculous and you would not find any of these charges acceptable, that’s why we all cruise because all of these are included and why cruising is still AMAZING Value for money – even without cotton buds in the bathroom!
