Looking forward to coming back new

This time next week will see me on a sea day during my cruise on the Crown Princess. I am sailing from Southampton on the 22nd April for 14 nights on the Mediterranean Adventurer cruise. I have sailed on part of a Princess cruise through work before, and it will be my partners first time so I am hoping he enjoys the Princess experience and comes back new (this is the Princess cruises strapline)

So far first impressions are good, at time of booking despite not having sailed on Princess before we still had loyalty numbers as Princess recognise the loyalty points we have accumulated through sailing with P&O many times. This has meant I have gone straight in at Elite level and Nick is at Platinum level.  Is this a big deal? Well in my eyes Princess do offer some of the best loyalty scheme benefits – being Platinum (and Elite) means we get preferred check-in at Southampton, we will both get 250 minutes complimentary Wi-FI on board,  I also get complimentary laundry done – how lovely will it be to open your suitcases on my return and all my clothes are already clean.  I will also get a deluxe canapes selection and also complimentary mini bar set up, and also upgraded bathroom amenities.

Princess Cruises have also sent us emails from the Captain Justin Lawes, the Maitre’d Neville Saldanha, and also the Cruise Director. The cruise directors email has told us that whilst on board we will have a Midsomer Festival  – with maypole dancing, cultural events, face painting and savory foods. A couple of the films which will be shown on movie under the stars is La La Land and Arrival. Two of the guest entertainers will be Comedian Jo Little, and Steve Larkin – the Freddie Mercury tribute act (which i have seen a couple of times before). I often see people on the Facebook forums ask what entertainment will be and Princess are the only cruise line i know, to send this information out.

We haven’t booked to dine in the Crown grill yet but we will be definitely eating there as my partner wants to take on the 21 oz Porterhouse steak.

I will post pictures of our trip on to my facebook page if you want to see our adventures.

Have a good couple of weeks

Kerry
