Garden Cruising , What a wonderful idea!

Hello everyone, I have just spent a week in the beautiful country of Wales and the best bit was visiting the Botanical gardens near Carmathen .

I wanted to share with you some of the wonderful pictures I captured, thinking this may (you gardeners out there) get you thinking of a gardeners cruise or even a visit to places like Madeira, Tenerife where the beautiful gardens are in abundance.

This was in Madeira last October

Banana trees in abundance in Madeira

The combination of our fantastic climate and islands fertile soils of Madeira, results in a huge variety of tropical and subtropical plants that can be found in the gardens throughout the city of Funchal. They have a botanical gardens too.

Of course you can go further afield to the Caribbean, As well enjoying the Caribbean sun, sea and sand, there are plenty of beautiful Caribbean gardens to visit. The Caribbean is a botanical wonderland with lush gardens, spectacular orchids, stunning tropical flowers, and a vast array of shrubs and trees. DOMINICA: Within walking distance of the cruise ship port you’ll discover Dominica’s lush botanical gardens which cover around 50 acres and feature a huge variety of trees including towering palms, banyan tree and bamboos. There is a sculpture made from bottles and a bus which was crushed by a fallen tree during a storm. I wish I had pictures of this but sorry on my bucket list, Have you been you could share pics with me. Maybe you have been to the beautiful gardens in Cape town, The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, located in Kirstenbosch, Cape Town, is the first garden of its kind in the world dedicated to the indigenous flora of a country such as the Namaqualand daisies and vygie, as well as to the majestic Baobab and cycads. These botanical gardens, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are a must-see for anyone visiting Cape Town. (or so I am told)
