Symphony of the Seas launches this week.

I love the launch of a new ship and  this week sees the launch of Royal Caribbean’s latest ship Symphony of the Seas.

The 4th Oasis Class ship she will be the largest passenger ship ever constructed at 228,021 gt and 1188 feet in length, pushing her sister ship Harmony of the Seas into second place. With 18 decks she will accommodate 5518 passengers at double occupancy but can sail with up to 6680 passengers once the 3rd, 4th and more beds are occupied.

As an Oasis Class ship she will feature all of Royal Caribbean’s family favourites, from the Flowrider surf simulator, 2 x 43 ft rock climbing walls and a zip line that hangs high above the decks for the older and more adrenaline charged teenagers to Splashaway Bay with water slides, water cannons, fountains and pools and mini golf for the younger ones.

Hairspray the Musical will dazzle guests in the evening and the ice skating rink will provide people both the opportunity to skate and to be amazed by the talent in the ice skating shows.

Restaurants on board include celebrity chef restaurant Jamies Italian, the new El Loco Fresh Mexican restaurant and Hooked Seafood and Royal favourites: Jonny Rockets and Sorrento’s plus many more. To wash it all down you can drink as you move between decks in the Rising Tide Bar, be served by robots in the Bionic Bar, indulge you passion for wine in Vintages Wine Bar or just enjoy a pint in the Ale and Anchor.

The UK market is lucky to have this ship based in Europe for Summer 2018. She is sailing a 7 night itinerary taking in Palma, Provence, Rome, Naples, Florence/Pisa and Barcelona plus one full day at sea in order to take in all of her amazing facilities. You can choose to embark in either Rome or Barcelona and hotel stays can be added to extend your holiday.

Despite her size some dates / cabin grades are already full which is a testament to reviews of existing Oasis Class ships so if you fancy trying this ship out before she goes to the Caribbean for the winter, get in touch now.
