Virgin Voyages

The time is nearly here – the launch of Virgin Voyages, Richard Branson’s cruise line & it goes on sale on 14th February 2019.

As you would expect from Mr Branson the up to the minute features are amazing.

Left your phone charging in the room? Don’t worry, the cabin knows, and keeps it charging when all other outlets are off. Most wall switches were removed, since the room knows the time and location of the ship, and adjusts lights and blinds accordingly. Only as clever as a Sailor needs, this technology can also be controlled personally, on the in-room tablet.

The Scarlet lady will set sail on the Caribbean from 2020, the line also revealed its plans to have a Virgin Voyages Terminal port in Miami and is scheduled for completion for November 2021, and plans to have a fourth ship by then.

What is there to do onboard? – well how about this for a first With the announcement of an on-board tattoo studio, Squid Ink, Scarlet Lady’s sailors will be able to recreate a signature seafaring image involving plenty of body ink, very controversial.

With 1150 crew from around the world, Recruitment begins early next year. The company want to see more women stepping up and taking command of our ships,” said a spokesperson.

“We want to see more female engineers in our engine control rooms and we want to build a bridge and see more women steer us into the future.”

With so much to do onboard, you can’t fail to enjoy this new adventure, The Runway running track, The B Complex with rooms for a spin, young and Cardio and the Athletics Club which also holds a boxing ring.

Also on board the blow dry bar, barbershop, male pedicure spa and mani-pedi spa.

Sounds good to me…
