P&O AND DOWNTON ABBEY

One of my favourite T.V programmes in recent years has got to be DOWNTON ABBEY. I love period drama to bits, the story lines, the differences between the aristocracy and the house maids, the hard ships, no mobile phones and no swearing, the costumes and the fantastic Maggie Smith who wins my vote every time- she can do no wrong.

I loved the early years in particular featuring the Titanic episode and World War 1. Although I  do tend to agree with a lot of people in that they went through the years  far too quickly, but how excellent the story lines are.!!

P&O have this year decided to sponsor the programme as it comes into its 3rd series and will be on our T.V’s soon. All will be shot on board a P&O ship I don’t know yet which one it will be, it will be showing different aspects of a holiday to entice new clients to cruising.

An extremely wise financial move I think by P&O considering the the viewing figures for last year was an average of 12.4 million viewer each episode…. wow !!! The cruise line will be shown at the beginning of each episode and either side of the commercial breaks.
