Cadiz is a city and port in south western Spain. It is the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the Iberian Peninsula and possibly all south western Europe it has been the home port of the Spanish Navy since the 18th Century. The architecture was really appreciated by myself and lots of photo’s were taken (soon to be published).

Scattered with history the British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean. The rock of Gibraltar is the major landmark of the region. At its foot is the densely populated city area. An Anglo-dutch force captured Gibraltar from Spain in 1704. It was an important base for the Royal Navy but today its economy is based largely on tourism and the duty free products.

lisbon is the capital city of Portugal with the population of 547,631.The port is located in Alcantara which today is full of bars, restaurants and excellent shopping. It lies in the western iberian peninsula on the Atlantic ocean. A destination we found too large to complete in just a few hours so a return weekend visit a must I think.
