Is River Cruising Value For Money?

A question I get asked 2-3 times a week & I know its due to the fact as someone said to me last week, ” I could go to the Caribbean for 14 nights for the same price as a 7 night River Cruise. True you could BUT  would you remember any of the Islands when you came back home?  NO  you wouldnt because they all look pretty much the same.

Ive been to many Caribbean Islands on Ocean cruising with Princess & P&O and Celebrity Cruise and I couldnt even tell you which Islands I had been too. But with the  Rivers you remember everything, the Country, the town where you moored, what you did, the excursions you did with the operator and the ones you did on your own, and the people you meet and then you see them the next day and the next day… River ships are small usually upto 150 people maximum, so yes you do get to know your fellow comrades by first names and get a good friendship on the go.

One of the good things with River Cruising is you pays your money up front and just about everything is included in that price dependant on which company you travel with.
