APT – The Beginning

I have been really really lucky to have  been given the chance to go on a educational trip with APT and doing one of their very successful escorted tours and cruise to Vietnam & Cambodia.

Our journey started off from Heathrow and we flew with Thai airways this is the usual airline APT  use with this itinerary and going via Bangkok, there was 5 of us in total 2 from APT and 3 of us agents and in no time at all were the best of friends.

One thing I would say is if at all possible try and get BOTH of your visa’s before starting your journey, when we arrived into Siem Reap airport( which resembles a motel rather than an airport) it was quite chaotic its very small and very hot with a lack of air conditioning, you stand in the queue with your passport and get it stamped and checked by the first guy, it then goes in a line going from left to right along the administration chaps , this is all in front of you by the way, then as it gets to the end of the final person, a whole group of you by this time are waiting to be called out and go up and collect it – a bit like bingo.

Isn’t this is most attractive airport? SIEM REAP AIRPORT.

Visa’s obtained its then time to try and get your bags, the belt is very fast and everyone is scrambling to get their bags before they disappear its also very very small.

But all collected frantically and we head for our private transfers to the hotel the beautiful SOKHAR ANGKOR RESORT.

Ive got lots of stories to tell and lots of photo’s to share with you over the coming weeks

If you want to speak to me in the meantime I would love to speak to you
