Regent Explorer – WOW Factor

Regent explorer in port 1

WOW WOW WOW
Regenst Seven Seas Explorer has not just the X Factor but the WOW factor in adbundance.
I have just returned from a 3 night sailing on board Regent Seven Seas Explorer with my colleague Holly….you may of seen our videos via our facebook pages as we went along.
From arriving into Nice and disemabrking in Rome this truly has the most amazing WOW factor .
We were met in Nice and escorted  to the port, I have never had an embarkation as quick and easy.

This is where we were dropped off for embarkation…..

We were literally dropped of at the ship to embark onboard and directed to the theatre where we checked in with a glass of champagne …I could get used to that!
Our suite wasnt ready till 2pm so we dropped our bags off in the casino and went for a wander and lunch.
We ate in the Pool Grill which was self service al fresco for a quick salad.
After exploring we could go to our suite , an F2 808 on Deck 8.
On entering you have the bathroom to your right which is black and grey marbled, 2 hand basins, a bath with a shower over head and a large double walk in shower , it was beautuful , far nicer than I’ve had in 5* hotels never mind on board a cruise .
Every detail had been though of , a rain shower with a seperate hand attachment in the walk in double shower , even a little bar for us ladies to rest our feet on whilst shaving our legs .
Next to the bathroom is a large walk in wardrobe with plenty of hanging space ( even enough for all the luggage i took!) , shelves , chest of drawers with shoe horn , sewing kit, hairdryer and laundry bags .
The safe was also situated in the walk in wardrobe.
As you enter the suite you notice the size, a large bed with leather headboard , 2 side tales each with reading lights on and a dressing table next to the bed.
The corridor to the the sleeping area and lounge has a large floor length mirror.
Once into the main part of the suite this opens to the sleeping and lounge area which can be seperated by a curtain .
In the sitting area ia sofa , table and a cabinet on the opposite wall which houses the mini bar and TV…….another little quirk is that the TV can be pulled away from the wall so you can either ost on the sofa and watch TV or swing it around so you can lie in bed and watch .
The balcony was large with two comfortable wicker chairs which reclined and had cushions on and a round wicker glass top table .
We hadnt been in the suite for more than 5 minutes when our steward knocked to introduce himself , he was always on hand and nothing was too much trouble for him.
We were towards the front of the ship and close top the stairs and elevators which made getting to all areas very easy .
