Ovation of the Seas….Shes finally here

Finally after all the build up Ovation of the Seas sailed in Southampton yesterday with crowds looking forward to watch her sail into Southampton for the first time.

She is the third ship in the new Quantum Class and these are a new generation of cruise ships which have included technology to take them to the next level.

Who’d of thought that an inside cabin could be transformed into a balcony with a virtual view with the largest and most advanced staterooms ever , will this help people who are claustrophobic to make them feel that they have a lovely view and helping the keep the costs down , I would book one for that reason.

Sailing with children and you’ll never hear them utter…”I’m bored”
The entertainment complex houses the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea , including activities such as go carting, roller skating, IFly which is the the first sky diving experience at sea and North Star which is transports you 300ft above the ocean in a large capsule on an arm that extends outwards….I think i’ll give that one a miss with my fear of heights!
Even the good old Xbox comes alive whilst at sea and allows players to play people all over the world.

Now for us the adults, how about a cocktail poured by a robotic bartender in the Robotic Bar ….Pina Colada for me please !

Whilst the kids are all busy why not treat yourself to one of the specialty restaurants on board.
The celebrity chefs whose menus will entice you are Jamie Oliver, Michael Schwartz and Devin Alexander.
