Adonia re sails the seas

Not everyone loves the large ships with ice skating rinks , promenades, flo riders and Mechainical bar staff  with over 5000 passengers.

Alot of passengers like the intimacy of a smaller ship which generally offer a more intimate cruise experience than the larger vessells. You’ll be on board with a few hundred, rather than a few thousand, other guests. This will provide more opportunity for you to get to know your fellow passengers, You’ll likely see the same faces over and over on a daily basis and get to know them exceedingly well by the end of your sailing. Cruising aboard a small ship creates a sense of camaraderie with your fellow passengers.

There is still a great need for small ships as we have seen after  P&O announced that Adonia is re joining there fleet for 2017.

In 2015 Adonia becamne the flagship for a social impact tourism project for Carnival.

Instead of carrying 710 British passengers at a time on voyages to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, or to South America, she took “voluntourists” on seven-day voyages from Miami to the Dominican Republic.

Passengers were  given the chance to work on activities such as providing clean water, planting crops to help a women’s co-operative produce organic chocolate, and teaching English to the islanders.

Now she is back… P&O have gone back to there roots with another small adult only ship .

She will be sailing from June 2017 for Mediteranean sailings UK and even Iceland itineraires and as you can imagine these are getting booked up very quickly.

Being a smaller ship, she carries 710 passengers , she can get to smaller ports such as Scrabster in Scotland and when she goes back to the Caribbean she will be visiting  Guadeloupe and Bequia and also sail up the Amazon where larger ships cant go.

Check out her new itineraies and give me a call on 0330 3038287 of youd like to go back to small intimate cruising……
