Weird and wonderful themed cruises!

Fed up of the Iberian Interlude, Mediterranean adventure ?? Do you fancy a cruise looking for the dead? Hate packing? – then how about a nude cruise? For those more “adventurous couples”, here is a list of the more unusual cruises that are out there for next year!

Find your happy place – For a “powerful transformational journey at sea”, then a Zen Cruise. It takes place on board Independence of the Seas from March 3-7, 2016, and features yoga classes, spoken word and musical performances,and “sound healing” .
Feeling flush – Several cruise lines host poker tournaments at sea, including Norwegian Cruise Line. Its 2015 Poker Challenge takes place on board Norwegian Spirit from November 28, 2015, departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, with a total of four tournaments taking place.
Go Gothic – The 2015 Gothic Cruise gets under way on September 27, departing from New Orleans on Carnival Dream. Excessive eye make-up & vampire costumes can be expected.
Raise a glass – River cruise specialist AMA Waterways offers a wide range of wine- and beer-themed options, including a 10-day voyage down the Danube in November, hosted by top wine experts.
Strip off – eWaterways is one of a few lines to offer naturist cruises. Try its 8-day Dalmatian Island Hopping voyage, departing August 22, 2015. Nudity is expected, except when the ship is in port and during meals. Then there’s the rather less subtle Big Nude Boat, an annual naked cruise organised by Bare Necessities. The next voyage – on board Celebrity Constellation and visiting Martinique, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos and The Bahamas – departs from Fort Lauderdale on February 6, 2016.
Spy an eclipse – A little more run-of-the-mill – is the Indonesian Eclipse Cruise, offered by the website Eclipse of the Century. It takes place on board the MS Volendam and leaves Singapore on February 29, 2016, returning on March 16.
Connect with spirits – Psychics Unleashed 3 – on, Carnival Spirit – featured not one, two, or even three, but four of the best psychics and mediums from Down Under, and took place in May. Dates for the sequel will be announced soon. There’s also a Ghost Hunter’s Cruise taking place on Norwegian Pearl from September 18-25, 2016, departing from Seattle and visiting Alaska.
