BBC Proms in the Park: Caerphilly

The BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales is performing tonight at a concert near to my home and Caerphilly Castle to celebrate the Last Night at the Proms. I remember last year the weather being so bad it being called off! I’ve just driven into town now to drop of folding picnic chairs for my mum and dad as they are off there tonight.

I’m hoping this late summer sunshine will hold off for them, its a stunning area , were really lucky in Caerphilly so have such beautiful scenery. The event for anyone that doesnt know is where ,The BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales are just near Caerphilly Castle for a magical evening of music under the stars including popular arias, orchestral favourites and sing-a-long numbers.
they are under the baton of conductor Tecwyn Evans, the Orchestra and Chorus will bewitch the audience along with special guests; tenor Wynne Evans, soprano Elin Manahan Thomas and cellist Laura van der Heijden, winner of BBC Young Musician 2012. Presented by Alex Jones and Tim Rhys-Evans, the evening will culminate in the traditional link-up with concerts across the UK to celebrate the Last Night of the Proms.
