I’ve recently been watching some re-runs of one of my favourite programmes , not sure if any of you have heard of it but its called Man vs Food. Man vs Food is an American food reality television series. The programme is hosted by actor and food enthusiast Adam Richman . In each episode, Richman explores the “big food” offerings of a different American city before facing off against a pre-existing eating challenge at a local restaurant.
Adam Richman has scoured the country, competing in America’s most compelling food challenges. He’s fought, he’s conquered, and he’s been conquered. He’s been eating his way across America for 3 years! The episode I have just watched he ate 12 hamburgers in 25 mins! I have heartburn just from watching the tv. The programme got me thinking about just how much is eaten when we cruise. I for one know that when I’m on a cruise I don’t always stop eating when I’m full! Since these programmes were filmed Richman has lost nearly 5 stone partly inspired by his desire to play in the recent soccer aid charity football game recently, so I don’t think a cruise would be ideal for him at the moment!!

Richman’s next venture is a show called Man Finds Food, about unique and surprising foods found in the US, which airs on the Travel Channel on 2 July.
