Viking River Cruises introduce four new Longships for 2012……….

Further proof of the increased popularity of river cruising, from Viking, who are set to massively increase their fleet next year.
The four new ships will boast all the amenities of a fine hotel – a room with a view, fabulous food and outstanding comfort. Vikings motto has always been ‘exploring the world in comfort’, and indeed you will!

These new vessels have been designed by Yran and Storbraaten, the team behind The Yachts of Seabourn – need I say more, and they offer state of the art engineering, design and luxury. Each will feature – Aquavit Terrace – with a revolutionary indoor/outdoor viewing area at the bow of the ship – Two Explorer Suites with wraparound Verandas giving 270 deg views – All Suites will have two rooms with a veranda off the living room and a Freanch Balcony in the bedroom – More full size verandas and full size rooms than any other ship in Europe – solar panels and an organic herb garden – energy efficient hybrid engines that reduce vibration for a remarkably quiet ride.
All the vessels boast beautiful contemporary interiors and look set to become firm favourites with river cruisers.
