Spring Watch 2014 – up close and personal……

If you are a fan of BBC Spring Watch then this package is animal watching but in a league of its own! What could be more perfect than seeing whales, black bears, stellar sea lions and white-sided dolphins up close and personal in their natural habitat?
You will start your trip with a flight to Vancouver on the 12th May 2014 where you will spend one night stay in a luxury 4* hotel before joining your ship, the Pacific Princess, for a seven night Alaskan voyage visiting the ports of Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park and Ketchikan. The scenery along this coast is tranquil and beautiful. Some of the most breathtaking sights in the world.

When your cruise ends, back in Vancouver, your adventure is only just beginning! After a day at leisure during which you can explore Vancouver itself, you will join your four day Whales and Wildlife Quadar Tour.

Day One
This morning fly to Campbell River, upon arrival transfer by water taxi to Quadra Island. Check-in at April Point Resort, a unique rustic West Coast themed hotel with beautiful ocean views in every room. You will awaken to the cry of Eagles, refreshed and ready for the day’s nature adventure.

Day Two
Experience the majesty of killer whales in their natural environment. Transient and resident pods of as many as 120 whales each gather around Robson Bight and Telegraph Cove each summer, making Vancouver Island one ofthe world’s hot-spots for watching. These incredible mammals arrive each year to socialize and mate, giving lucky on-lookers
a rare chance to see them in the unspoiled splendour of their natural habitat. The tour includes lunch and is a full day mini-coach/zodiac adventure.

Day Three
Board a Hurricane Zodiac and zip along Discovery Passage to Vancouver Island’s untouched wilderness. Guided by a trained naturalist, you’ll travel among the Discovery Islands and see local BC wildlife thriving in their natural habitat.
Watch for black bears, stellar sea lions, seals, whales and Pacific white-sided dolphins. You’ll see bald eagles swoop from the tree tops and majestic herons fishing in the tidal pools. Breathe the crisp, salty air as you dart around lush inlets and explore secluded Pacific islands by boat. It’s the ultimate way to get a first-hand glimpse of magnificent British Columbia wildlife in our gorgeous Pacific Playground.

Day Four
Transfer by water taxi to Campbell River to connect with your flight to Vancouver where you will spend one night in a 4* hotel ahead of your flight back to the UK, arriving on the 27th May.

The whole package starts from just £2499 per person – excellent value!
