Harmony – Heaven or Hell???

If I’m honest I’ve got mixed feelings about my trip on Harmony next week.  Why you may ask would I have trepidations?

I’m not a fan of the big ships – floating resorts – very impersonal, but I was lured by the hype and need to see for myself if my experience on board turns out to be Heaven or Hell and whether the Harmony of the Seas will make me a convert!

BLOG HARMONY SHIP

After all she’s the BIGGEST ship in the world! Has all the latest gimmicks – Robot Waiters in the Bionic Bar, Zip Wire, Ultimate Abyss, an Interactive Multi Slide Water Park – (not for me I’m afraid… been there, done that and the bruises take too long to heal nowadays!) Smart Technology including Wow Bands,  (I can see myself getting in a right tizz with these – I’m not known for my IT skills..) Aqua Theatre and the Rising Tide Bar (that’s going to be my favourite haunt!)

But still……..

All those people!  Wanting to experience all these new innovations!  I’m thinking queues…… I’m thinking crowds… Jostling, pushing and shoving….

I do hope that Royal Caribbean has anticipated the huge amount of interest and the huge numbers that will be on board (over 5000 people) and made the necessary arrangements regarding seating and show times etc……

I have had feedback from clients who have been on the Quantum Class ship Anthem and reported back the chaos on board with the voluminous amount of people vying for position……

Although I am part of a group of 500 Agents who have been invited on board for 2 nights from 20th May, before the public board on 22nd, so hopefully I’ll be able to explore all the different neighbourhoods unhindered!  Here’s Central Park & Boardwalk

I have also organised my time on board, by booking a set dining time, and also a few shows. I think its vital on a ship this size as I would hate to miss out on the entertainment the Harmony has to offer, so I’m booked in to see Grease – The Musical, one of my favourite films, plus the Stand Up Comedy Show, and the Ice Skating Show – A Journey In Time.  Not forgetting, of course the AquaTheatre production The Fine Line.

I’ve booked a Boardwalk Balcony aft of the ship overlooking the Aqua Theatre  so with a bit of luck I will be able to sit in the privacy of my own cabin and watch the show every night!

Next Time:  Well?  How was it?
