CruiseTraka – What A Cracker!

I’m loving this new ‘toy’ we have here at cruisedot.  I’ve been playing around with it over the holidays and am having hours of fun!  Its great for us ‘cruise nerds and ‘anoraks’!

What is it?? Well……

Its Free! which is always a good start! and easy to use, as its fully automated, and basically lets you share a live GPS tracking map of your cruise with your family and friends! A bit like Satnav in your car..

And……

Even if you’re not on a cruise, (which I’m not at the moment) you can still type in the ship of your choice to see exactly where it is in the world in real time!  Fantastic!  I’ve been checking the whereabouts of P&O’s Ventura, Royal Caribbean’s Independence.  Try it out for yourself and see how much fun you can have.

So how does this baby work?  Click here for an overview and video http://www.cruise.co.uk/traka-overview/
CruiseTraka is provided by an Australian company called TrekTrakka and all your details are kept safe and secure..

CruiseTraka uses a GPS tracking device fitted to your ship that periodically sends your location back to a live tracking map. Once your trip is underway, your family and friends can visit this map whenever they like to see your daily progress. The map also displays photos and other interesting information about your cruise and what you will be experiencing along the way.

It can send a daily update email to your  friends showing them the places you have been visiting and providing them with a link to your live tracking map. It can also post to your Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms!  How cool is that! Your friends would be so impressed!

Interested?  Want to find out more?  Its really easy to register and when you do you can be in with a chance to win a free cruise! http://www.cruise.co.uk/traka-register/

Have fun!
