Christmas Conference Capers on Boudicca!

So as John Lennon so famously wrote: Another year over and a new one just begun (well almost….). And in traditional style we at cruiseco celebrated yet another successful year at our annual Conference. This year hosted by Fred Olsen on board the beautiful Boudicca.

We sailed from Liverpool to Dublin, after a crazy 80’s themed party night whilst docked in Liverpool.

As usual we all went ‘overboard’ with our outfits, and a very eclectic mix of characters partied the night away.   From Gladys Pugh (that’s me!) and a team of Maplins Holiday Camp hosts, to Smurfettes, She-Ra, Ninja Turtles, Jessica Rabbit,  Super Mario’s, a few Madonna’s and Cher’s. Chrystal Carrington turned up and we even had a special audience with Charles & Diana! Madness!

The Conference gives us all time to reflect on the year so far, the successes both on an individual basis and as a company, of which there have been many. Its a time to renew acquaintances and make new friends. Remember,  the majority of us are homeworkers and dont get the opportunity to socialise with our fellow workers.

So after the work was done, we had the opportunity to visit Dublin and of course sample the local brew aka The Black Stuff, Irish Champagne, Diesel, Bunkers, and The Black Nectar. As well as taking a short bus tour of its landmarks, conducted by the funniest of Tour Guides – Thank you Brent for a ‘unique’ insight into this wonderful city!

Too soon it was time to say goodbye until the next time we all meet.   I flew back to Spain as I now live in Marbella, to enjoy the festive season in the sunshine!
