Welcome to 2017

I can’t believe how fast the Christmas and New Year went.  I had 2 weeks off work and it really went quick.  I once again had a lovely Christmas with my family at my nan’s house and also a good New Year.  We always have Christmas dinner with my nan and she also does a repeat Turkey dinner on New year’s Day.  Unfortunately me and my husband didn’t have that much time together this time as he was working a lot over Christmas.  It is the first year for quite a while where he was working so much.  We still found time to open some presents together and have a little time at home.   The Christmas decorations have now gone and our Rabbit Alfie is certainly glad to have the run of the lounge back.

He didn’t get on too well with the Christmas Tree.   I am back into the full swing of things now at work and looking forward to a great 2017.  Everything comes together for me as I also celebrate my birthday this week so looking forward to some more celebrations this weekend.  I am sure this year will bring lots and now looking at booking my 2017 holiday.  January is always a good month to think about booking a holiday.  When it is cold and icy outside it is nice to get something booked to have something to look forward to.  I think this year I will be going away in the UK again and not doing a cruise for my holiday.  I might try and squeeze in a mini cruise but that will be it.  We are lucky to have the option of using my in law’s Caravan in Poole Dorset which we will be doing again this year as we enjoyed this last year.  I am actually going down there for a few nights in March.   There are lots of good cruise deals out there at the moment and as I said now is a good time to start planning your 2017 holidays if you haven’t already.
