Holiday’s done time for winter!

I am now back in the office after my week off at Devon Cliffs.  We had a lovely week although the weather wasn’t great.  Typical for the Great British weather.  This was our first time at Devon Cliffs and I couldn’t believe the size of the park.  There was plenty to do but with the weather not being great we went out and about quite a lot so saw lots of places around Devon.  It has been a different year for me without going abroad but to be honest the only thing I missed about not going abroad was the weather.  I didn’t want the hassle of airports and baggage allowance this year.  We ate every night at the park and only went out in the days.  There was a big sandy beach at the park but due to the weather we only used this a few times.   It was nice to just go for a drive and to see where we ended up.  We found a lovely little place called Branscombe the one day.

We went down this winding road that got narrower and narrower and we didn’t have a clue where we would end up but once we got to the bottom by the beach it was a lovely picturesque place.  We went to lots of places including Sidmouth, Dawlish and Torquay.  I am certainly finding myself enjoying UK holidays a lot more after years of going abroad.  It brings back memories of my UK holidays with my family as a child.  That was the last holiday now for this year and at the moment I am undecided on what to do next year.

I love this time of year though now with winter approaching and it will soon be Christmas.  Winter is always a lovely time to get away if you can however my other halve struggles with time off work.  I will look forward to the winter months and booking lots of peoples holidays and then decide what to do next year.  A cruise is definitely on my list as I have only done a mini cruise this year and when I book people on their cruises every day it just make me want to have one to look forward to too.
