Not One Night In Heaven But Two

One night in Heaven as Heather Small sang from M People, but I was lucky enough to enjoy 2.

To be honest, before I stepped on board Anthem Of The Seas, I couldn’t see what all the fuss was about!. Another HUGE Ship, a million places to eat etc etc. We have all heard and seen it before – but I was wrong.

From the moment we boarded I was amazed by her. I suppose it did help that we had gloriously sunny weather, so standing with a cocktail in my hand, watching the live music, discussing with my colleagues where we were dining that evening, I did feel blessed.

To get down to the nitty gritties though – our cabin was spacious and very modern. The wardrobe set up is perfect – 1 wardrobe for longer garments and the other split in half for shorter items, making double the hanging space and shelves as well – loads of room for 2 weeks. We also got to have a look at other cabin options – virtual balcony – good value, Royal Loft Suites, Family Loft Suites, Owners Suites – stunning!! If you want luxury, space, hot tubs, wet rooms then these are for you.

The food – where to begin?

American Icon? – Fantastic for breakfast – order a full English and enjoy American Style pancakes as well – The best of both worlds.

Chic – We dined here the first evening – great restaurant – very stylish and definitely lives up to its name – we were lucky to sample dishes from all of the restaurants – I had my starter from Chic, my main course from American Icon and my dessert from Silk.

Windjammer – A personal favourite of most Royal Caribbean customers and will definitely not disappoint.

There is so much space on board – there is even a Bobbi Brown – the first one at sea, I believe. A Michael Kors for your designer handbag, so much choice!

So when you have finished eating and drinking, what about the entertainment – WE WILL ROCK YOU – What a fantastic experience, as good as the West End production.

Two 70 – State Of the Art – What a brilliant venue.

You won’t be bored whether young or old – We had a great time watching some of our male colleagues on the FlowRider – how competitive are the male of the species? Hot Tubs, Dodgems, Basketball, Trapeze – it goes on and on…….

The North Star – Not sure about this though – just see more of the ocean but from 100ft higher?

Royal Caribbean’s prices may be higher than some of their competitors, but the quality shines through – it’s an old saying, but very true – You only get what you pay for.
