Look Away Now If You Don’t Wish To Know How Long It Is Until Christmas!

Who wants to know how many days there are left until Santa Claus comes to town this year?

It’s just 97 days and counting.

How do you feel about this news? Ecstatic? Depressed? Panicked?

In my house, we all love Christmas. Yes, I get very stressed in the run up, cleaning the house, food shopping, worrying about present buying, trying to make everything perfect so we all enjoy a magical time.

One of our favourite things to do as a family pre Christmas is to spend time together at one or several of the Christmas markets that have become increasingly popular in the UK. Whether they are German or Dickensian it doesn’t really matter – it’s the quality of the Gluhwein or the Hot Cider that does!!

So I am really pleased to see that some of our favourite cruise lines have introduced some fantastic cruises around this time letting us sample the delights of Christmas Markets in cities such as Amsterdam and  Hamburg,  or for those of us who just want a short festive break with a difference there are mini cruises for just 1 or 2 nights – ideal for a different kind of office party this year.

To give you a taste – Fred Olsen have a 2 night Festive Cruise from Liverpool on 12/12/2014 – from just £129 per person – compare that with a meal in a 4 star city centre Hotel, the usual poor entertainment, expensive drinks – you will then see what a deal this is.

If you have longer, why not look at P & O Cruises, they have a 10 night cruise on Adonia, 11th December, visiting Amsterdam, Copenhagen and overnight in Hamburg for just £599 in a balcony cabin.
