How Did Your Dry January Go?

Did you try ” Dry January “? How did you fare?

It seems that the world and his wife had a go, whether officially raising funds for charity or just as a detox after the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Well, it’s a good job that many of us tried as if you are cruising this year then with the range of drinks packages available on board, if you hadn’t done Jan, then your liver may not of recovered!

For the beer lovers among us, P & O cruises have a new Great British Beer menu, available on their new ship Britannia. This menu features over 70 different ales, ciders and bottled beers from 56 UK counties – try working your way through that menu on your cruise!

Who fancies a cocktail or two? Have you tried the Molecular bar on Celebrity Eclipse – Not everyone’ s cup of tea I know, waiting for the liquid nitrogen to disappear before you can take a sip, but it is an experience not to be missed.

Prefer something more traditional? Why not try the pub grub on offer in Cunard’s Golden Lion pub on board Queen Mary? Sit at the bar, chat to new friends, they even have a traditional pub quiz.

There are so many variations on bard cruise ships these days, to write about them all would take forever.

So whether you want the all inclusive packages as offered by Thomson’s , Royal Caribbean etc or if you prefer to pay as you go, there is a cruise ship out there that will suit your requirements.

Let me know what your favourite bar is at sea – and why.
