Where Does The Time Go?

So this weekend I celebrate my First, or Paper, Wedding Anniversary!

I cannot actually believe it’s been almost a year since I tied the knot and it got me thinking about how fast time actually moves, and how much those big and life changing events are hugely important in ones life.

Being a Cruise Agent means it’s both a job, but also a passion of mine, travelling around the world from place to place, coast to coast, and drinking in as many places as possible before I croak – hopefully around the age of about 180! I figure I’ll need that many years to see everything I want to see!

Just 11 months ago I was lucky enough to experience my first River Cruise, down the Danube River, which was quite honestly, inspiring. A life enriching holiday, and a genuine eye opener.

I was also fortunate enough to spend my honeymoon in the Maldives. Words cannot really describe the outstanding tropical beauty of that place. I’m very much one for white sand and crystal clear waters, and if this sounds like your idea of paradise, the Maldives will not be beaten. The Caribbean has nothing on this place! Although in fairness it’s a different kind of place!

In recent years I’ve also been across to places like The UAE. Luxury like you’ve never seen it in places like Dubai & Abu Dhabi – both vibrant, colourful and amazing places. I actually got engaged in the latter, aboard Costa Favolosa which was awesome, and one of the happiest moments of my life.

But what frustrates me about all of this, is that the experience is so short term. I feel like I could do an entiree lifetime of holidaying, and it still wouldn’t be enough!

I keep seeing more and more destinations that I fancy, and my bucket list keeps getting longer and longer, but here I sit getting older and older, with responsibilities that stop me going to these places!! ARGH!! Never have I wanted a lottery win so much!

Next place for me has to be New York City. I’ve been to so many different cities across the world, but never been to the Big Apple, and I really want to get out there and see it. Trouble is the Mrs isn’t a big fan of America or city breaks – but that’s another story!

What I will say now is that if you are retired, or have a good amount of time on your hands, get out there and see the world! It’s an amazing place! Time disappears so fast we cannot afford to hang around anymore!

So cruisers of the world! Come see me and get the Ready Steady Freddie Treatment – I don’t just sell holidays my friends…….I create dreams!

How’s that for cheese……

Thanks for reading my blog today, and as always, until next time……….
