Royal Caribbean Approve ‘Shorts’ As Acceptable Dining Room Attire!?

Seriously? Shorts?

Yes, you read the strap line correctly.

Royal Caribbean have now approved shorts as acceptable attire to enter the main dining room (MDR), which will no doubts cause international controversy among staff, trade & customers.

One can only assume this has been brought in by demand from customers saying they want to be allowed to wear them?

I don’t know about you but I’m not keen on seeing some blokes hairy legs stroll past my plate!

For the life of me I can’t really understand it. Royal Caribbean have always had a reasonable dress code in the MDR, I can only now imagine what ghastly garments people are now going to wear.

Some might say that it’s because they sail the Caribbean which is generally warm, so shorts are cooler, which I understand. But RCCL also have ships doing colder itineraries like Alaska and Norway, so will they be allowed then?

Of late RCCL have been criticized that their dress code is taking a downturn, and this really does compound it. I just hope that they have some boundaries, i.e how short or the shorts etc

Perhaps it’s a good thing? Does it really matter what you are dressed like if you are having a good time, and does it matter what others think?

It’s a funny old story this but a radical change for RCCL, so I’d be really interested in what folks think of it?

Good? Bad? Ugly? Let me know your opinions!

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time………
