I Got Married!

Making a change to my usual cruise related blog today for some bigger news!

Yes last week as many of my customers & colleagues now know thanks to the magic of social media, I tied the knot with my fiancee!!

Best day of my life so far.

We are both country bumpkins at heart, so we decided to choose a venue up in the North Yorkshire Dales, a little boutique hotel called Yorebridge House, what a place!

We actually chose the venue over 18 months ago after looking at various places, and fell in love with it, the moment we saw it. Well, the Mrs did anyway, and lets be fair gents, she’s the important once, we just have to turn up right!

It’s right out in the sticks in a little village called Bainbridge, you wouldn’t even know it’s there. In fact our guests all asked us, how the heck we managed to find such a place in the middle of nowhere! A good amount of research, and plenty of petrol I told them!

The hotel catered for our big day brilliantly, amazing food, amazing rooms, amazing location – what more could we ask for.

It was a hugely emotional day for my wife and I (feels weird saying that!), and also our families, who struggled to keep their eyes dry throughout our vows – which we both wrote ourselves. Very emotional stuff I can tell you!

We kept everything in the same place, the ceremony, the meal and the reception, which meant nobody had to mess around going from place to place half the day! It was great.

Because of my job, we had discussed getting married on a ship, but we decided that we would go all out in this country and get all our friends and family to see us tie the knot.

So here is a quick pic of me and my wife (there it is again), all smiles!

As you can see, I’m batting way above my weight, but it was an amazing day and we are both mega happy!

Tough to get back into work, and we are both a bit gutted it’s all over, but now we have the honeymoon to look forward to in February…….THE MALDIVES!! I cannot wait!
