BRITAIN AND SUNSHINE……….

If you’re unfortunate enough like me to have been in the North-west of the UK this Easter weekend, no doubts you will have the same bittersweet- no scratch that – suicidal – smile on your face this morning as you look out of the window at the amazing sunshine that is currently blasting down at us.

Why am I angry?

Because like the rest of the UK (i hope), i spent this Easter weekend ducking the wretched damn rain everywhere I went!

The previous weekend was glorious, and I did manage to get a little sunshine time.

The week leading up to it, was average, which was fine as I was working anyway.

And then…….as Easter weekend approached……the clouds gathered…..

I knew the moment I woke up Friday morning it was going to be a washout, and I was right……..so I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the British sunshine for ruining my outdoor weekend, and also for the slap in the face that is the stunning blue sky I see from my office window today!

What is has made me realise however, is that at least one holiday a year is basically essential. I know you cannot guarantee sunshine in most places, but good grief you stand a better chance outside the UK! and the deals that you can pick up on cruises at the moment are unreal on certain itineraries – give me a call, I’ll certainly fix you up! But back to me….

This year a holiday for me is out of the question as I have a little baby boy on the way in the summer, which I am thrilled about of course – but its does mean that I will be going an additional 12 months relying on our wonderfully unreliable English climate!

I’m not too worried as I imagine suntans will be the last thing on our minds with a baby, but in my next blog I shall be asking advice from my customers that have young children for suggestions on where to take them when they are young.

Ironically I’ll probably stay around the UK but you never know!

Anyway thanks for listening to my pointless rant this morning. Would love to know what all my readers and customers got up to over Easter – please cheer me up!!

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time………
