Should Cruise Line’s Go All Inclusive

Do you think Cruise Liners should go All Inclusive and include all the drinks in the price?

For holiday makers, the biggest surprise aboard their first cruise probably has nothing to do with the feel of rolling seas. More likely, the surprise will be their bar tab.

More and more of the Cruise liners are starting to follow each other and offer its guest different varieties of drinks packages from nonalcoholic – premium packages with prices up to 70 US per day per person.

Which over a 14 Night Cruise can be quite pricey, but weighing up the cost of what you would spend buying per drink these soon seem attractive and good value and maybe you do have a few more than normal but hey you are on holiday and we all know we tend to over indulge whilst away, I certainly do and no one has to drive anywhere!

I do chuckle to myself as I get asked this all the time ‘if I buy the drinks package and my wife gets the soda package is that ok’ unfortunately the Cruise lines have cottoned onto this and now say all passengers over the age of 21 must all have the same package,, I am sure many of us have tried this over the years to try and save some $$$

Are the packages worth the price?

That depends on how much you drink. One website estimated the cost of a drink package as roughly equal to a daily consumption of five martinis and three soft drinks, or eight beers and two soft drinks, or six beers and two glasses of wine

Should the likes of Royal Caribbean, Princess P&O follow in the footsteps of the Luxury market with the likes of Azamara, Crystal to name a few and include their drinks as standard.

Me personally would like to see this happen and I would pay a little bit more to have this  included as standard, would you be prepared to pay more for you Cruise to have all drinks included or do you think it should stay as it is, would love to hear your thoughts and this.
