Rough Few Weeks

Wow am I ready for my holiday in 2 weeks, the answer is yes can’t come quick enough! The last few weeks have been very stressful for everyone, we started with the awful hurricane that has ripped through the Caribbean destroying people’s homes business and left many islands just devastated, I myself have had my Cruise itinerary change on the NCL Escape due to the original ports been closed we had meant to be visiting Nassau, St Maarten, Tortola we are now vesting Grand Cayman Jamaica Cozumel, My boys are pleased of the new change as they want to swim with the sting rays in Grand Cayman, I will be posting photos in the coming week of these so watch out,

What has been amazing at this awful time is the Cruise lines pulling together to help the Caribbean island in the after math of this awful Hurricane, Royal Caribbean offered one its ships Enchantment of the seas for all its staff in Florida and families to sail on the ship out of the way of the hurricane, I thought this was fantastic and shows what a great company they are looking out for their own, also they are sending Adventure Of The Seas and Majesty Of The Seas for humanitarian to St Thomas, St Maarten, they are delivering supplies and also assisting evacuees in St. Maarten to safety, The Empress of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas are also ready to assist Key West and Tampa once the impact of the storm is known,

I have just returned from a great trip with Amadeus River Cruises sailing down the Rhine and Moselle,

Great to see this week Symphony Of The Seas taking her first steps into the ocean, she holds the title of the world largest cruise ship, Symphony, also known as the fourth Oasis-class vessel, is The Symphony of the Seas will measure 1,188 feet in length and will have a capacity of 230,000 gross tons across 18 decks. She will be able to accommodate 5,535 passengers at double occupancy up to a maximum capacity of 6,870 passengers, as well as a 2,100-person crew.[2]

Barcelona Port Guide

Bus runs from all the Cruise port terminals to the monument of Christopher Columbus and back. The price of the ticket is €2.00 for a single and €3.00 for a day return and can only be purchased with cash on the bus. There is no fixed timetable for the Blue Bus however the cruise terminal operators co-ordinate the running of the bus with the arrival and departures of the cruise ships. The bus is adapted for easy access for the disabled traveller with a wheelchair.
