Crystal Final Thoughts

Crystal Serenity is only one of 2 in the fleet she is due to undergo a 25 million refurbishment programme later in the year that will see some of the areas upgraded, she is 68000 tons and has a max capacity of 1070 passengers and along with 655 crew, she has 13 decks of which 9 are for passengers she was christened in 2003 by Dame Julie Andrews.

My opinion of the Ship is she is Luxurious and offers that little bit extra, the staff on board I cannot praise enough they are a credit to Crystal many of the staff that we got to speak with had worked for the company for years which shows through. The space you feel on board is second to none and everything about the ship works.

She has lots of different choices for eating on an evening you can eat in the main dining room or you can choose to eat in Silk Road or Prego I would recommend if you are wanting to dine in Silk Road or Prego you book this well in advance which you can do with Crystal on line once you booking has been paid in full.

Premium branded drinks are included 24 hours along with room service as well.

Cabins she features start from an Ocean view, Balcony cabins and then onto Suites, all rooms are beautiful decorated and although not the biggest I have ever seen are very unique.

She has everything you would want on a cruise on board you have a state of the art gym, theatre, cinema, games rooms, luxury spa, library, computer room, 2 pools several Jacuzzis, round the pool was very relaxed and calming more than enough sunbeds and huge day beds to relax on no music was played round the pool.

They do cater for children on board and do have kids clubs should they need them although whilst we were on board I only noticed a handful and most where babies.

Dress code through the day is resort casual and of a evening either smart casual or formal but even on the formal nights some people went to town or others more relaxed.

Smoking on board is still allowed inside and in cabins but this is changing and will be restricted to outdoor areas only.

I did think prior to going on the Cruise it would be stuffy and I would feel uncomfortable as she is a 6 star Cruise and how wrong I was she was relaxed and welcoming and very friendly the passengers we meet whilst on board where fantastic and from all works of life we got emails off some of them so we could keep in touch. I really can’t speak highly of the Serenity and would like to thank everyone who made my stay on board so special and memorable I can’t wait to go back on board and see how she looks after the refurbishment.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to call or email me.
