December In Cuba!

I have decided, December is my new favorite month to travel! Get away form the cold, the Christmas shopping queues and madness and head of somewhere warm which is exactly what we did! We recently returned from 2 weeks in Cuba, one of our favorite places, and we felt our little boy who is nearly 2 is old enough and braved the 9 hour flight across to Holguin, Cuba!

If you have never been to Cuba I would definitely say put it on your to ‘To do list’ it is truly a beautiful country with beautiful people to match, with nothing to there name the locals are really what make it for us they are just genuinely so warm and welcoming.

We have stayed both times in a resort called Playa Pesquero, which is around an hour from the city of Holguin. Havana is a long way away, a flight away in fact so pretty in accessible form the area but if its Havana your eager to visit the best way fr this is a cruise, and more and more cruise liners are starting to feature Havana on there itinerary ‘s so take up the chance to visit Havana whilst you can!

Alfie was a superstar throughout the whole trip, we had comments leaving the flight at how good and well behaved he was which was lovely to hear, he got used to the time difference pretty quickly which was  a bonus! He loved the beach and swimming pool and especially the kids club , as he was so young I stayed with him there though!

So if you are considering Cuba, even with little ones in tow I would say go for it, you will have a great time! Now we have braved the long haul flight we are thinking lets try a Caribbean cruise next!
