A Carnival of a time on the open sea

This year has really been an exciting time for new cruise ships. There has been the two Royals- Ovation and Harmony. A few of my colleagues were lucky enough to experience it first hand and stay a couple of nights on board. There were that many of them at one point it felt like I was the only one in the office.

The new ship that I will be fortunate to visit next month is the Carnival Vista. It certainly looks amazing and gives the likes of Royal Caribbean and Norwegian a run for their money. It is an all round family friendly ship with lots of facilities to keep the young and young at heart entertained. The maiden voyage was on the 1st of May from Barcelona offering 7 nights and 9 nights itineraries. Perfect if you want to spend a few nights in Barcelona before hand. As soon as it went on sail it has proved really popular, and I’m not surprised as there is plenty to do. There is the Redfrog Bar, which is a traditional bar serving good beers, accompanied by good tunes with ambience of the Caribbean. Also a SkyBox Sports Bar and Piano bar plus more. I’m looking forward to the water slides on the top deck and the IMAX cinema. If I am brave enough I really want to try out the Sky Bike that you peddle and it goes around the top of the ship. Watch this space to see if I did or bottled it.
