Winter Blues? Then Book a Cruise…

OK, so the clocks recently went back, we rejoiced for a short time with the thought of an extra hour in bed, then it hits us, the nights are drawing in and it’s dark by 4.30 pm and winter is almost here. So how do we get ourselves out of those winter blues?

Easy, do what I have done, book a cruise.

Now I have something to look forward to over the next couple of months and rather than shopping for warm clothes, I am on the look out for some bargain summer clobber ready for my week in the sun. Because I have booked a winter sunshine cruise to the Emirates in February.

I shall be spending a week on board the MSC Musica, sailing from Abu Dhabi around the Emirates, with hopefully much warmer weather than the UK. With direct flights from London, Manchester or Glasgow to either Abu Dhabi or Dubai with award winning Ethiad Airlines or Emirates, the deal was too good not to book. Especially with prices starting from £679 per person.

Of course no MSC cruise is complete unless you pre book the drinks package too and at just £154 per person for the full 7 nights we would be mad not too.

The bargains are there to be had and you do not want to miss them. I toyed with the idea of a week sailing around the Caribbean and with prices starting from at £1057 per person for a balcony cabin on the Adventure of the Seas for 7 nights with flights,  a drinks package and free gratuities, I was torn. However, my friend that is joining me on this particular holiday is a teacher, so we was doomed to only travel during the school holidays and tight on dates.

Maybe I can get another week off and go with someone else… mmm now there is a thought.

So before you let the dreaded winter blues set in, get a piece of winter sunshine and book a cruise.
